The Nogoa River forms a boundary along one side of the botanic gardens at Emerald, with the land rising sharply in many places before levelling off.

The excitement of exploring a new garden is the discovery of the lie of the land, the types of plants and the manner in which the garden is laid out. After this, the job is to find a way to photograph it.
