I favour photographing in late spring when plants are usually at their best. But autumn presents its own displays of wild colour and forms that create different challenges.

 

At first glance these pictures might seem to be made by AI generation, or using effects filters in Photoshop. Not so. They were made with a single exposure, using a conventional camera, daylight colour film and flash.
