I favour photographing in late spring when the plants are usually at their best. But autumn presents its own displays of wild colour and form that present different challenges.
At first glance these pictures might seem to belong to AI generated work, but not so. They were made with a single exposure, using a conventional camera, daylight colour film and flash. The effect was achieved by using a slow shutter speed and panning the camera – the flash stopped the motion blur where it struck.
